General Information

Shanwei is a transshipment port for cargoes to and from the southeast coastal areas in Guangdong Province and a foreign trading port open to foreign ships. The port's hinterland covers Haifeng, Lufeng and Huilai counties and extended to the adjacent mountainous counties. Fishing is the backbone of Shanwei economy, other industries are salt, fishing gears, plastics, farm tools and seafood processing.

Communication

Via Haifeng County 27 km away, its highway is linked to the Guangzhou - Shantou highway. There are buses to Guangzhou and other major cities in the region
